In case you haven’t noticed, the holiday season has creeped up on us once again and you know what that means: holiday parties, family events and social gatherings galore. Maybe you’re not the biggest social butterfly, but everybody has something to go to throughout the duration of the holiday season and that means you have to figure out what to wear so you can make a splash at said social gathering.
Before you write this article off as just another holiday attire article, let me tell you that I’m here to tell you something a little different. I want to offer a few tips so you don’t end up wearing the same outfit to your office holiday party and family Thanksgiving dinner (and avoid being tagged in pictures from two different events in the SAME outfit – that’s just embarrassing). Maybe you don’t want to go out and buy two completely different outfits, but there are a few things you can do to keep it fresh
- Keep the suit, switch the shirt. Changing this little thing can make a huge difference. So what if you’re wearing the same navy suit? Switch from your typical plain white shirt and try one with a gingham pattern.
Visit Site - While you’re at it, opt for no tie. So you wore your favorite tie and shirt combo to the dinner at Mom’s house last night, but you have to go to dinner with your SO’s parents tonight (sorry man). Change it up by changing your shirt and going without the tie and you’ve got yourself a whole new look.
- Keep the pants but opt for a different blazer on top. Tired of the same plain old suit look? Try keeping the pants from your suit but going for a patterned blazer on top; it will completely change your look.

There you have it, three of the easiest ways to survive the fashion side of the holidays without having to get a whole new wardrobe. I hope this helps to give you a holiday season that is a little bit less stressful – sorry I can’t help with all the family drama – you’re on your own for that part.
