Care For Your Clothes: Vacation Packing Made Easy

When it’s time to go away for a trip, packing should be done strategically so as to minimize any problems that can keep you from having as much fun and relaxation as you deserve.

Judah insists, firstly, on always hanging up your nicer clothes in garment bags.  Next, pack your shoes in shoe-sleeves or wrapped felt fabric and a shoe polish kit in a sealed bag if you’re one who likes to keep his shoes shiny.

Third, roll as many of your items as you can such as t-shirts, shorts, underwear, etc. to save space.  As an added bonus, if you roll or fold shirts to show the logo or graphic you can find them easier.  Here’s how.  Also, don’t forget a laundry bag to keep your worn clothes separate from clean clothes.

Lastly, and possibly most important, bring a steamer because no matter how well you pack, there is always the inevitable wrinkle somewhere. Steamers are easy to use and practically fool proof where an iron can cause all kinds of problems if you aren’t handy with one.  Judah recommends and personally uses the Steamfast SF-435 Compact Fabric Steamer, which may not be the fanciest or most expensive, but it gets the job done and it travels well.  Happy Vacationing!
